A reminder that tomorrow school will get out at 11:00 a.m. and there will not be lunch.

Tonight’s homework is:

Read Naturally, “An Incredible Sacrifice

Monday: Time your student for one minute and have them read the passage. Carefully watch them read and mark any errors, inserted words, or skipped words. When the minute is up mark where your student stopped, and record this on the first “words read” line. Write the errors they made (mispronounced words, added words, skipped words) on the line bellow. Subtract the errors and write the total number of words correctly read on the cold score line. After this discuss the key words with your student and have them tell you what they read about. You could even ask them questions about the story to check for comprehension.

Hello,

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow is the last day to bring money for the fundraiser for the firefighters, and 1st responders. So far out class has raised about $60, which is amazing! If you have happened to donate online please let me know the amount. The class is loving hearing the amount we have raised. Thanks for all the donations so far.

I hope you all had a fun and relaxing long weekend.

I know a lot of students were either absent or checked out today; however, everyone should be ready for the math test tomorrow. If any students want extra practice, the test is on place value up to one million, writing numbers in word and expanded form, ordering numbers and rounding.

Hello :)

We are in need of a parent volunteer for Junior Achievement. Starting around October you will be asked to come in and teach 5 lessons on business. All of the lesson plans will be provided and each lesson takes around 30 minutes to teach. If anyone is willing to take on this role please let me know ASAP.

Hello!

We made it through our first full day of school :)  The students had a lot of fun reading about and looking at the eclipse, we ended up sharing glasses with the other 4th grade class.

Your student came home with a reading passage for homework for tonight and through the rest of this week. I have attached the directions to follow for the reading passage. If you have any questions please let me know.
