About Raquel Gallegos

I am so excited to be here at HighMark Charter School!!! It is a dream come true to be your Media Assistant here at the Highmark Library. I LOVE BOOKS!!!! I was born and raised in Layton and spent my childhood exploring the canyons, streams, and trails in these beautiful mountains. While traveling throughout the United States and Canada I am always drawn to the majesty of a beautiful mountainous landscape. I am married with two wonderful children, and our pretty yellow dog named Libby. I attended Weber State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography. I have always loved to share my passion for exploring new places. Being here at HighMark Charter School and having the opportunity to run your library is a dream come true for me. Since "exploring" is a constant theme in my life, I hope to promote that here at Highmark. I truly believe that the library is the perfect place to "explore". My mission to is provide an environment where there is access to proper information, creativity, exploration of new technologies, and open conversation that promotes intellectual freedom. LET'S START EXPLORING!!!!!
