Save the Date and Registration Fees

Thank you for choosing HighMark for your students school for the 2018-2019 school year.  We are looking forward to another great year!  To complete your students Jr. High Registration, please visit this LINK or mail in your students registration fees to the address below by July 20, 2018.  Any fees paid after this date will be charged an additional $10.00 late fee.

7th grade – $140.00
8th grade – $150.00
9th grade – $170.00

Something new has been added:  We will be holding two Back to School Nights this year instead of a registration day for jr high.  August 13th will be for elementary and Jr. high students with the last name beginning with A-M from 4:00-5:30; August 14th will be for elementary and Jr. high students with the last name beginning with N-Z from 4:00-5:30.  Parents and students will meet in the gym for a short welcome assembly, then they will be able to go their classrooms to meet their teachers, and if jr. high, see their lockers.   Yearbook pictures for jr high students will be taken in the commons (dress standard must be worn to have their picture taken); elementary will have their pictures taken after school starts.

Pennies for Patients Fundraiser

Student government is hosting a fundraiser starting today and running through next week. The fundraiser is through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the money goes toward cancer research for all types of blood cancers. The junior high was introduced to the fundraiser yesterday at the pep assembly. The fundraiser will run through advisory teachers in junior high and each teacher in elementary.

The following is some helpful information for you:

  • Yesterday the officers brought each teacher flyers and boxes for the kids to take home to collect money.
  • The elementary class that raises the most money will get a soda pop and popcorn party. The junior high class that raises the most money will get a full Olive Garden lunch (as long as the school raises $750).
  • There are also incentives for reaching different benchmarks. Please share these with students.
    • $500:  Hat Day
    • $1000: 20 minutes “free time” for students (in junior high this includes the use of cell phones and headphones)
    • $1500: Free Dress Day
    • $2000: Scov & Miehlke dress as princesses for a day
    • $2500: school wide No Homework Day
    • $3000: Tape Mr. Jackson to the wall
  • We will hang the incentives posters in the commons so that students can see how close we are to reaching the incentive goals. We will collect money each A day to be able to update the posters.
  • Here is a video to introduce the fundraiser https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PluE1SoNmw
  • Parents/Family members can donate online by finding our school’s page using the studentseries.org link found on the flyer.
